THE TRUE ECONOMIC COST OF DOMESTIC ABUSE AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA

The South African United Business Confederation, in collaboration
with The Joe Slovo Foundation, The University of Johannesburg, and
Employers Initiative on Domestic Abuse (UK) invite you to a
virtual panel discussion on 23 November 2021 at 11am South African Time

The economic impact of domestic abuse and GBV cost South Africa
between R28.4 billion and R42.4 billion per year or between 0.9%
and 1.3% of GDP respectively in 2012 and 2013.**

We realise the need to have a broader and strategic business
dialogue regarding domestic abuse and GBV in the context of the
resultant impact it has on the economy in South Africa
